School Meals
Caterlink is our chosen provider and meals are cooked on site in our school kitchen by Stacey, Bonnie and Doris. The meal choice includes a main meal, vegetarian meal or a jacket potato option every day.
Lunches are ordered on the day by the children in class. We ask that you add a lunch balance to your ScoPay account, excluding those receiving Free School Meals.
We ask parents that pay for the children’s lunches to regularly check your parent portal and top-up your account if your credit is running low. If you do not have any credit on your account, your child may not be able to order lunch, so please regularly check and ensure your balance is up to date.
The new lunch menus are below, they will be on a three weekly rota and the first week back will be week 1 and so on until the end of term. If we choose to do a different food choice for a special reason (Christmas lunch) we will advise you accordingly.
All of the menu choices have an allergy/intolerance variation and this will be handled by the kitchen staff as they will be notified of the children this affects.
From September 2025 we are changing to a new catering provider!
As you will already be aware that we are moving from our current catering company “Caterlink” to a new catering company “Innovate” from September.
With this move we wanted to remind you that from September we will no longer be using scopay for meal payments and therefore, please only top up your child’s meal account on scopay for what your child would use until the end of this term 23 July 2025. (For information a meal costs £2.65.).
How will I order meals in September?
You will receive an e-mail from the new catering company “Innovate” inviting you to create an account through their meal ordering, pre-payment system 'Kanpla'. Within the e-mail you will receive a link for each child to register them. Please note that you must register each child, and only 1 parent will be able to order the dinners. Currently the system only allows for one parent to have an account and order meals.
From September all meal ordering will be done directly with Innovate's Kanpla system. You will be required to order in advance for the week/s ahead and ensure you have the correct funds in your catering account. The minimum top up is £5. For example (w/c 8TH September all lunch orders must be ordered by 11pm Sunday 7th September). The new meal price will be £2.70.
It is not possible to order meals without a credit balance on the system and meals will not be able to be ordered on the day.
You will be able to access the system via an app on your smart phone, tablet or via the website – details will be sent shortly.
There is money on my child's scopay account and it will not be used up by the end of term.....
It is not possible to transfer any credit balances between scopa and Kanpla so if you wish to claim any credit balance from Caterlink, this must be done directly with them, using the following link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfuUuF80aQ2pHjfphNFq99MciDNU7ETt-34eQ0Xm4xyxnTE1A/viewform
If you do not have a Google account/want to sign into Google to submit this form, you can use this one https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf5RIfhuP4wE-9Q-fJyuYG5gC0hvBbPlLWknmnk9qUzVAYuHw/viewform
This process can usually take a couple of months, so don’t expect anything too quickly. Any queries regarding refund of credit balances should be directed to: meals@wshgroup.co.uk.
My child rarely has a school dinner, how will this change impact me?
Even if your child only has a school dinner now and again, please register them as you will need to use this system when the time comes for the Christmas Dinner!
