At Shinfield St Mary’s Junior School we value the creative and practical learning opportunities that design and technology provides. We deliver engaging projects for our children to design, make and evaluate products with an authentic purpose and use. By doing this, we foster their capacity for both creativity and problem-solving.

Our curriculum puts love of each other and the environment at the heart of everything we do. Our children will make an impact on the wider world through the knowledge and skills they learn in DT. This is because it gives them the innovative problem-solving skills they need to sustainably and compassionately shape our world.
